It was a great weekend in Annapolis! We woke up on Sunday to intermittent showers and small craft advisories. The wind was gusting up to 40 knots, so we were looking forward to a rough ride back. One good thing was that the wind kept many of the Sunday boaters in their slips, meaning that we didn't have to deal with a lot of traffic in Ego Alley as we left the slip and turned the boat around to leave. We arrived on Friday afternoon to improving conditions and a great slip on the bulkhead of Ego Alley. Ego Alley is named that because people like to display their beautiful boats by cruising into the alley where the visitors to Annapolis can see them! The regatta involved sailboats of all sizes and styles sailing from Annapolis to Miles River Yacht Club. Around noon they began to trickle into the yacht basin, and by mid-afternoon the basin was filled with all types of boats, and there was a "raft" of over 11 vessels off the t-head of one of the docks.
