Lisa and I got off work and rushed to the boat. Since we will be at the boat show for 5 nights, Lisa decided to bring the cats too! We'll see how this goes.
We got the boat provisioned, cast off our lines and called the Kent Narrows Drawbridge requesting a northbound opening. After going under the bridge we headed to the marina for fuel and a pump out. With the boat ready to go, we headed through the channel and towards Annapolis.
We made our way around the shoal, under the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and entered the Severn River. The marina we are staying at is actually sticking out in the Severn River, however they have driven in a seawall to stop the worst of the waves. Our boat is approximately 47 Ft LOA, and the fairways in this marina are 50 ft, so it is a tight fit!
We entered the marina at 7 PM and were tied up in about 5 minutes. There was a 15 MPH wind hitting me from the stern, but I managed to power her in
Last night before the show, and we are nervous!
